About UsIt's all about Quality ServiceWhat we have at NeuroMuscular Therapy Center, is lots of education both formal and experiential, coupled with a desire to provide the highest quality service. Traveling the world while working on-board Billionaire's luxury private yachts, has taught us how to provide an atmosphere equal to those yachts: anticipating every need; attention to details; and nothing less than full quality service. As a home health clinic, our attention is on healthy living. We provide a large selection of medical massage therapies, along with relaxing / therapeutic modalities; and detoxifying treatments. In our lovely home in Three Sisters Mountain Village, (just 5 minutes east of Canmore) we cater to no more than two clients at a time, giving you our undivided attention, and keeping the spa atmosphere tranquil and private.

Prompted by a thirst for travel and a Canadian Deficit, (which meant unemployed Rec. Therapists and Special Ed. Teachers), Shirley went back to travel and working abroad, this time with her husband James. First to Victoria, B.C, where in 6 years they became Scuba Diving Instructors, and later worked in Grand Bahama Island as Dive Masters / Instructors. This is where they were introduced to the Yachting Industry, and later moved on-board a 140 foot motor yacht as Stewardess and Deck Hand. In 2000, while working for Billionaires who receive daily massages on-board their Luxury Yachts, Shirley decided it was time to further her studies in Massage Therapy. After receiving her American Certification of massage therapy at the well respected American Institute of Massage Therapy and Esthetics Certification at ASM Beauty School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Graduating top of her class she went back to work on-board Luxury Motor Yachts, providing personal training, esthetics, and massage to the owner and guests. Later, she was recruited to work for the World Famous Health Spa Clinique La Prairie of Montreux Switzerland onboard "The World of ResidenSea cruise ship. As a member of the initial crew, Shirley received additional in-house training in Switzerland on the numerous high end products, machines and services. Then on, to help set up the on-board spa and her offerings, while spending six months cruising the Mediterranean introducing a new concept of "Condo Cruising" to the public. In 2003 it was time to "have a life", and end the gypsy ways, so she moved home to set up NeuroMuscular Therapy Center on Main street Canmore. Alberta, Canada. In 2010, NMTCanmore was moved to the Home Sancturay / Hermitage in Three Sisters Mountain Village, Canmore.
